Dear Al: I am delighted that the crowds in Tunis seemed so friendly. I had an uneasy feeling that they might try to use the occasion to stage a "protest."1
Don't let anything interfere with our June fourth date.2 By the way, did you tell me the exact hour of the day that you would be available for beginning the contest? I suggest a start at four o'clock if we can arrange it, to continue through the evening. As ever
