Dear Bill: Howard Snyder tells me that you are about to leave the hospital (or perhaps already left) and go back to the school.1 I am delighted to hear this, and gratified beyond words that you have made such progress. Apparently you'll be at Eaglebrook for the commencement exercises, which should be a stimulating and satisfying experience.2
Last weekend we all went up to Penn State to visit Milton and his family. He and I played golf and spent considerable time fishing. We caught some beautiful trout (rainbow and brown) and for lunch Saturday had a fish fry right at the stream. It was a truly fine outing.3
Today is Min's birthday, and we are all rallying round to help her celebrate.4 I'll enclose a photograph that was in the Washington Post this morning, since you probably otherwise wouldn't see it.
We are still counting on a Denver vacation in August, though I have learned that it really doesn't pay to plan too far [in] advance in this job.5 At any rate, it's nice to dream about.
Mamie joins me in best to you, as always,6 Sincerely
