9: "The problems inherent in this job"
|
Dear Al: I have friends who play a good game of bridge. I have at least one friend who talks a good game of bridge. But there is a certain individual who has proved beyond all doubt his superiority in teaching the game of bridge.
The other day, to commemorate that memorable feat, I, by virtue of the authority vested in me, did confer on Pete Jones a permanent appointment. In all fairness you should have a copy for your archives.1
With warm regard, As ever
P.S. You will note that the "Secretary" joins me in confirming the legality of the appointment.2
